There's a lot of stigma about sex, hook up culture, STIs, sex parties, swinging etc. When talking to friends about casual sex, I emphasize that it is supposed to pleasurable for everyone involved. In my community, there's this deeply ingrained idea that a woman participating in sex with a man means something is being taken from her. 😅 I appreciate that this episode also casts shame away for discovering yourself at different time points in life. I remember listening to a sex positive podcast episode from someone else at 21, the speaker said something akin to "do you want someone else to tell you what you like better than yourself?" and that's when I decided to explore self pleasure shortly after. I'm grateful we live in an age where resources like this exist so people can feel not so alone for not fitting into cookie cutter social norms😁
